John H. Miller
Director of Scenic Technology Programs; Technical Direction and Stage Automation Faculty (1989; 1975-79)

John Miller received his B.S. and M.F.A. from Southern Illinois University. He has served as technical director at Florida State University, North Carolina School of the Arts, and North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, as master electrician for “Sunshine Boys” and National Bus and Truck, as operations manager for Carolina StreetScene, and as project manager for J.R. Clancy Inc. Mr. Miller is an Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) certified theatrical rigger and designer and co-owner of a patented rigging system. He is a member of U.S Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
