Robert Wildman

Robert Wildman is a graduate of Stanford University and the Yale School of Drama. He joined the North Carolina School of the Arts in 2003 after serving, during a leadership transition, as interim manager of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Conn. He served for seven years (1995-2002) as managing director of Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT), the performance arm of the Department of Dramatic Arts at the University of Connecticut, and moved the theatre to a year-round Equity contract for its seven annual mainstage productions. Mr. Wildman joined CRT after nine years in arts marketing and development in New Haven, at Yale Repertory Theatre/Yale School of Drama (1986-92), and Long Wharf Theatre (1992-95). He has also worked at the Mark Taper Forum and American Conservatory Theatre in his native California. Mr. Wildman has taught in the M.F.A. program in theatre administration at Yale, and the distance-learning graduate program in arts administration at Goucher College. He has served on the boards of the Adam Foundation and the Arts Council of Greater New Haven and on grant panels for Theatre Communications Group, the Connecticut Commission on the Arts, and the Charlotte Arts Council. |
