Doug Brown received his B.A. from the University of West Florida. Before coming to NCSA, he worked as the technical director at Wake Forest University. Locally, he has designed for the Alliance Theater of Winston Salem, Salem Academy, and the Davie Arts Council. His experience outside of North Carolina includes being the technical director and lighting designer at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., and a free-lance designer and technician in Atlanta, Houston, and Tampa. He is a member of the U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC), and vice chair for membership of USITT-Southeast Region.
