Jason Romney received his B.F.A. in theatre design and technology from Utah State University and his M.F.A. in sound design from the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has designed sound professionally at Triad Stage, Weston Playhouse Theatre Company, Utah Festival Opera, Alliance Theatre Company, and others. Mr. Romney is also a computer programmer developing software solutions for sound designers and engineers. His programs are used by professionals in the theatre, film and music industries and in educational institutions across the country. Mr. Romney is an associate of the Center for Design Innovation, an inter-institutional center of NCSA, Winston-Salem State University, and Forsyth Technical Community College. He also serves as vice commissioner for the computing industry on the U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Sound Commission.
