Dennis Booth

Dennis Gill Booth

Dennis Gill Booth holds a B.A. from SUNY Potsdam and a M.F.A. from The University of Washington, Seattle. He has worked in various aspects of technical production for more than 30 years. His professional credits include technical production management for Piedmont Opera Theatre, Greensboro Opera, North Carolina Scenic Studios, Wright State University Theatre, Alaska Repertory Theatre, Anchorage Opera, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Old Globe Theatre, Intiman Theatre, Denver Center Theatre Company, Arizona Theatre Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Seattle Repertory Theatre. Mr. Booth was previously an instructor of technical theatre at Wright State University, Fairborn, Ohio, and is currently a full-time faculty member, assistant dean, and the director of technical direction for the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Design and Production. 

Mr. Booth has been an active member of the U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and has served on many presenting panels for the national, Pacific Northwest and Southeast regional chapters of USITT, as well as on panels for the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC). He is also a member and past president of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Local No. 635, Winston-Salem, N.C., and has been affiliated with Local No. 7, Denver, Colo.; Local No. 15, Seattle, Wash.; Local No. 66, Dayton, Ohio; and Local No. 918, Anchorage, Alaska.
