Norman Coates

Lighting Design
Norman Coates earned a B.A. from Temple University. He has worked as a lighting designer for Broadway shows including "The News" and "Prince of Central Park" and for Off-Broadway shows including "Here Are Ladies," "Diversions and Delights," "Blood Knot," and "Limbo Tales.” He also designed Richard Harris' international tour of "Camelot." Mr. Coates’ regional theatre credits include Triad Stage, Great Lakes Theater Festival, PlayMakers Repertory, Burt Reynolds' Jupiter Theatre, and The Hirschfeld Theatre. He has also designed for such opera companies as Opera Omaha, Fort Worth Opera, Opera Pacific, and Piedmont Opera Theatre. Mr. Coates is a member of United Scenic Artists (USA) and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).
