The Film Archives building is new construction and will serve to maintain a special climate controlled area for the university’s extensive film collection to properly preserve the film. Currently, Film Archives has a film collection of over 30,000 films of which many of these are the original copy. Additionally, the facility will serve as a world-class film history research facility. The facility will afford individuals the opportunity to view films for researching scripts, commercials, billboards or any other type of film research data.
