Richard Clabaugh
Faculty: Cinematography (1999)
Cinematographer with more than 18 years feature film experience. Credits include PHANTOMS, THE PROPHECY, THE PROPHECY II, PLATO'S RUN, NO WAY BACK, AMERICAN YAKUZA, CHILDREN OF THE CORN IV, CHILDREN OF THE CORN 666. Camera operator credits include HELLRAISER III and WAXWORK. Special effects cinematography experience includes extensive blue screen, miniature and computer graphics work. Has additional professional experience as director, writer and editor, along with teaching experience at Columbia College-Hollywood.

David E. Elkins
David E. Elkins Faculty: Cinematography (1997)
B.A., Columbia College-Hollywood; B.A., University of Connecticut; Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters, Columbia College-Hollywood. Previous teaching experience includes nine years at Columbia College-Hollywood and served as president of the school from 1994-1995. Has worked professionally for over 17 years as a motion picture camera assistant and camera operator for film, television, music videos and commercials. Over 125 credits including, THE WONDER YEARS, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION and GABRIEL’S FIRE for television, music videos for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coolio, Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill, commercials for McDonalds, Life Savers and Burger King. Author of two of the basic textbooks for camera personnel: "The Camera Assistant's Manual" and "Camera Terms and Concepts," published by Focal Press. Member of the International Cinematographers Guild and Society of Camera Operators.
Bill McCord
Faculty: Cinematography (2005)
B.F.A., North Carolina School of the Arts; M.A., University of New Orleans. Member of IATSE since 1983; IATSE business agent for six years. Has more than 25 years of film production experience on features, commercials, music videos, concerts, documentaries, and industrials. Has worked with more than a dozen Academy Award-nominated cinematographers on features and commercials, including the 1991 Oscar-winner JFK. Other credits include: feature films O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?, DOUBLE JEOPARDY, CRAZY IN ALABAMA, PRIMARY COLORS, LOLITA, DEAD MAN WALKING, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, THE PELICAN BRIEF, MILLER’S CROSSING, WILD AT HEART; concert documentaries of U2 and The Police, as well as commercials for Levi’s, Coke, Burger King, Budweiser, Ford, Datsun, Chevy, and IBM. Between 1999 and 2004, he taught film production and technical theatre courses at NCSA’s School of Design and Production. He returns to NCSA from The Home Shopping Network, where he was the executive director of production.

Faculty: Cinematography (2006)


Trained as a Cinematographer for over two decades, John has shot with some of the top named directors on feature films, music videos and commercials. He has won a prestigious Golden Lion award in Cannes for his AT&T International campaign.  His feature credits include ANGEL TOWN, STRIPPED TO KILL, PERSONAL FOUL, THE OUTSIDER, TRUTH OR DARE and COCOON.  In addition to numerous commercial credits, John also has music video credits including “Kiss” (Prince), “Eternity” (Sheena Easton), and “The Right Stuff” (Vanessa Williams).
