B.A., Florida Atlantic University. Producer, writer, director, actor. Film credits include VALLEY GIRL, NIGHT OF THE COMET, JAKE SPEED, SNAKE ISLAND. TV credits include "Okavango," "On the Loose...In Wildest Africa," "Kid Safari," and "Animal Planet" specials. Member of Motion Picture Academy, SAG, and WGA.

Janos Kovacsi Faculty: Directing (1993)
M.A., Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary; M.F.A., Hungarian University of Drama and Film Art, Budapest, Hungary; Fulbright Scholar. Theatrical features as director, writer and co-writer include: CHA-CHA-CHA, RIGHT MAN FOR A DELICATE MISSION. Deputy managing director, MAFILM. Prior his current position he served for 12 years as first assistant professor at his alma mater, the Hungarian University of Drama and Film Art.

Produced 18 feature-length movies, writing all or part of them and directing seven of them. Has also executive-produced the syndicated television series OKAVANGO, which ran on the FX channel in the United States. Feature credits include JAKE SPEED (director/co-writer), MORTAL PASSIONS (director/producer/co-writer), LONELY HEARTS (director/producer/writer), A FATE TOTALLY WORSE THAN DEATH (writer). Cable and network productions include TRADE OFF, THE SECRETARY, DESPERATE MOTIVE. Principal in Gibraltar Releasing Organization, independent financing and distribution company.
