"We Are the Champions"
Each year, a week is proclaimed "State Employee Recognition Week" by the Governor of North Carolina in which State agencies and universities recognize their employees. A variety of activities determined by each individual agency/university occur during State Employee Recognition Week.
State Employee Recognition Week is planned in the spring to coordinate with the national Public Service Recognition Week, a time set aside to educate Americans about the broad variety of services provided by government. The week is also an opportunity to show appreciation to public employees at the federal, state, and local levels, ensuring that our government is the best in the world.
At NCSA, this is known as “Employee Appreciation Week”. On behalf of the State of North Carolina, the Employee Appreciation Committee would like to commend you for the service and dedication you provide to our students, administrators and the public. To express its appreciation to all valued employees, NCSA will recognize dedicated service through a program of service awards and weeklong events. We would also like to thank our Chancellor for his sponsorship.
May 5th

Pancake Breakfast. 7:30 am – 9:30 am. Served by Administrators and Officers of NCSA. Located in Pickle Jar.

May 6th

Treasure Hunt! Various locations on campus. There will be four separate games, each about 20 minutes long. Games will be rain or shine! 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Wine and Dessert Reception. Academic House, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm |
May 7th

Luncheon in Daniels Plaza, 11:30 to 12:50 and drawings for prize give-a-ways.
Our BOT will be joining us for lunch!
Awards Ceremony in the Thrust Theatre, 1:00 pm – 1:50 pm |
May 8th

Movie in RJR Screening Room. 4 different student films will be shown every 30 minutes beginning at 2:00. We will be serving popcorn and soda!

Espresso Ambulance and KK Donuts, Performance Place circle, 7:30 – 9:30 am.
We’ll end the day with a softball game (weather permitting), 5:30 – 7:00. Join us on our new playing field for our inaugural game! |
