 General Information
Is there a size limit to what I can send or receive?

All Email accounts have a certain amount of storage space allocated to them. People who use the system may not exceed this amount of space, or quota. Quotas are put in place to ensure fair use of resources for all people. You can see how much of your disk quota you have used on the top of the screen in the Webmail main page. Undergraduate students have a quota of 10 megabytes (10MB). It is important that you do not exceed your quota. If you do, any additional Email that you receive will be returned to the sender, and you will not be able to read it. Avoid missing out on important Email by keeping well below quota. Email systems are not designed to support the transmission of large files (i.e. more than 200 KB). Transmitting such files by Email can cause major problems with the Email system. People wanting to transmit large files should use another application such as FTP, WinQvt or Fetch.
