Instrumentalists

Graduate Tuition Reductions

Graduate Tuition Reductions cover the cost of full-tuition and are available to all instrumental areas.  Four Graduate Tuition Reductions will be awarded for 2008-2009. Graduate Tuition Reductions are awarded based on the recommendation of the School of Music faculty.

Assistantships

Teaching and work assistantships are awarded in amounts ranging from $2,000 to $4,200. The following assistantships are available for the 2008-2009 academic year: Composition/Theory, Recording Services and Library Research.

Performance Fellowships

Performance fellowships are awarded in amounts of $2,000. The following fellowships are available for the 2008-2009 academic year: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Horn, Trombone, Violin, Viola, Violoncello, and Guitar.


Voice Students

A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute Fellowships
A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute fellowships for Master of Music candidates cover the cost of tuition, fees and a stipend of $3,600 in the first year and $4,200 in the second year. A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute fellowships are awarded through the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute.

Assistantship and Fellowship Requirements

Award requirements are a bachelor's degree and full admission to the School of Music Graduate Program, including an audition and interview.
