"The Nutcracker" Ballet

Choreographed by Robert Lindgren and Sonja Tyven, after Ivanov.

"The Nutcracker" is a magical holiday tradition that has entertained and enchanted local audiences for generations. This year's production will include two showcase performances by ballet superstars Gillian Murphy and Blaine Hoven, both UNCSA alumni and members of American Ballet Theatre. Don't miss the artists of UNCSA and the Winston-Salem Symphony in the festive family favorite that is "The Nutcracker"!

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performs an all-Baroque program for the holiday season. Works include handel's B-flat Major Harpsichord Concerto, Corelli's Christmas Concerto, Vivaldi's Goldfinch Concerto and J.S. Bach's Fourth and Fifth Brandenburg Concertos. Performers include harpsichordist John Gibbons, violinists Lily Francis, Ida Kavafian, Cho-Liang Lin and Arnaud Sussmann, violists Beth Guterman and Paul Neubauer, cellists Priscilla Lee and Fred Sherry;, bassist Kurt Muroki and flutists Tara Helen O'Connor and Carol Wincenc. Concert is made possible through the generous support of the Anne Cannon Forsyth Visiting Artist Endowment and Bill and Judy Watson.
