WINSTON-SALEM – Screenwriter/Producer Matthew Carnahan and Producer Tracy Falco will visit the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking on Wednesday, Oct. 17. Carnahan and Falco will screen the yet-to-be-released film LIONS FOR LAMBS, which is directed by and stars Robert Redford. A film with a political focus, LIONS FOR LAMBS also stars Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep. Carnahan has also written WHITE JAZZ, which is scheduled to shoot in December. That film will star George Clooney and will be directed by Joe Carnahan. A question-and-answer session will follow the screening of LIONS FOR LAMBS; it will be moderated by new School of Filmmaking Dean Jordan Kerner. Several universities have been invited to join the NCSA School of Filmmaking for this event.
Media: You are invited to the film screening, which will take place at 7 p.m. in the Main Theatre of the School of Filmmaking on the NCSA campus, as well as the political and filmmaking discussion to follow at 9 p.m. in Crawford Hall in Gray Building on the NCSA campus. You will be asked to adhere to the following security warning, in accordance with instructions from MGM Studios: No one will be allowed to enter the theatre with a cell phone or other recording device. Please remember to leave them in your cars. A security team will be in attendance to monitor possession of these devices. They will refuse admittance to anyone who arrives with a cell phone or recording device. This film has not yet been released to the public. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
