 NCSA ALUMNA JENNIFER FERRIN NOMINATED
FOR A DAYTIME EMMY AWARD
For Best Younger Actress as Jennifer Munson on “As the World Turns”


WINSTON-SALEM – North Carolina School of the Arts alumna Jennifer Ferrin has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Younger Actress for her role as Jennifer Munson on the CBS drama “As the World Turns.”

A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Ferrin joined the ATWT cast as Jennifer Munson on July 9, 2003 – fewer than two months after graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from the NCSA School of Drama. Ferrin returned to NCSA that same fall to be the keynote speaker at NCSA’s Family Weekend.

Ferrin has also appeared as Esther in “The Locket,” a Hallmark Hall of Fame film, and guest starred on the 2002 season finale of “Dawson’s Creek.”

The Daytime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS on May 20 from New York’s Radio City Music Hall.  

An arts conservatory of international renown, the North Carolina School of the Arts was the first state-supported, residential school of its kind in the nation. Established by the N.C.
