NCSA DRAMA ALUMNA CASSANDRA CREECH
FEATURED IN CYXORK 7, TO BE SCREENED AT
CAROLINA FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL IN GREENSBORO


WINSTON-SALEM – Cassandra Creech, a School of Drama graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, has a major role (Nyree) in the film CYXORK 7, directed/co-written by John Huff, which will be shown at the Carolina Film and Video Festival in Greensboro on Feb. 23 and 24.  

According to the film’s website, www.cyxork7.com, it is a film is about making a film when the “big one” hits Los Angeles. The tagline: “A young filmmaker and a bankrupt action hero shoot CYXORK 7, latest sequel of a faltering sci-fi series, during a predicted cataclysmic earthquake, hoping to grab Hollywood’s attention. If they survive….”  

Creech stars along with veteran actor Ray Wise, recently seen in George Clooney’s GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK, and Greg Proops, best known for his work on the hit ABC comedy show “Whose Line is it Anyway.”  

Creech has been seen in DISAPPEARING ACT with Wesley Snipes and on TV in “Third Watch,” “Another World,” and “As the World Turns.” 

She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama from NCSA in 1992, and later studied Shakespearean theatre with Sir Ian McKellan and Fiona Shaw at Oxford University.
