The P-Card: What is it?
Short for Purchasing Card (may also be referred to as Procurement Card), it is a highly efficient and effective alternate method of small dollar purchase. It is a Corporate Visa credit card issued in a School employee’s name. All charges are consolidated on one bill, which is paid by the School monthly. Some of the benefits include access to a greater market place due to the wide acceptability of Visa, greatly reduced order processing time, and reduced requests for small purchase orders, checks, and petty cash.
This guide is designed to comply with state regulations and School policy and to assist management in carrying out its responsibilities regarding the accountability for purchasing goods and services.
